Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This page is maintained by the SpendMint team to explain how SpendMint uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) when you visit our website or use the web app.

1. What we store

  • Authentication: a session token stored by our auth provider so you stay signed in. Strictly necessary — the app cannot function without it.
  • Preferences: country, currency, unit system, theme, allergy profile, and dismissed onboarding hints, stored locally in your browser.
  • Offline queue: analytics and pending mutations buffered in localStorage so we do not lose events when your connection drops.
  • Product analytics: a first-party experiment ID used to consistently render the UI variant assigned to your account.

2. What we do not use

SpendMint does not currently use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or data-broker fingerprinting. If this changes, we will update this page and request consent where required by law.

3. Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing them will sign you out and reset your local preferences. You can also review and clear stored data from the Privacy Center when signed in.

4. Region-specific rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a US state with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g., California, Colorado, Virginia), you have additional rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the right to opt out of non-essential storage.

5. Contact

For questions, contact the SpendMint team through in-app support.
